Dye another day,Daniel Galvin Hairdressers

Lisa took some time out this weekend for a much-needed relax and pamper day at her favourite salon, Daniel Galvin. This modern luxurious salon is the perfect way to unwind after a hard week. Iconic hair colourist, Daniel Galvin recently marked his fiftieth year in the industry, he is the name who pushed the boundaries for hair colouring in the sixties and gave twiggy her first set of highlights, the late sixties were all about changing peoples perception of hair colour,  Daniel’s idea was to shock the general public into reconsidering hair colour as something creative and expressive rather than only functional. Some of you may recognise his name, as he was the man to introduce hair colour to Japan and the far east in the 1990s.

Lisa’s hairdresser James Galvin (son of Daniel Galvin) has taken a slightly different path from his famous father, by heading up the creative styling team at the Daniel Galvin Salon. James’s particular expertise is precision cutting, literally working like a sculptor to create a shape in the hair that is low maintenance and unique to each face shape ( just what we want to hear). He now has a long list of credits to his name having worked in television and music as well as magazines, such as his own documentary for the BBC ‘Back in buisness’ (which was aired in Autumn), Britains Next top Model and regularly appears on LK today. He will soon be opening his own salon in Sunny L.A. so Lisa will be need to be flying over to get her pesonal one on one with him.

James is a genius with scissors and I love my new soft fringe he introduced for summer!
I am excited he is relocating to L.A. in May to open his own salon as it gives me an excuse to book a holiday and have my hair trimmed whilst I am there.
